OPTICOLOR RUB OFF TRANSFER PRODUCTS

Custom color dry rub-off transfers have many important functions in today’s graphics. From matte to high gloss effects, the ability to transfer images of any color and adhere cleanly to a multitude of surfaces is a vital component in many facets of design presentation.

Single color, solvent ink transfers introduced in the 1970’s evolved to multi-color registered composites in the 1980s. Today’s versions may include custom foil effects and the use of Spectratech water based inks capable of 4-color process with any spot color.

Transfers using images produced from a variety of ink jet plotters are also in use now. Ink Jet transfers can be combined with spot color additions and other special effects.

SEMI-GLOSS TRANSFER BASE

These sheets are specially formulated to be neutral to the chemistry used in the OPTITRANS System. This is important in that an unlimited number of ink coatings, developments, and sealer applications can be made without reducing the viability of the substrate. Complex and detailed images can be made similar to those possible in direct imaging methods. Multi-Color images can be done in register on the same sheet. Finished transfers have a smooth Semi-Gloss appearance. Finished transfers require the use of OPTITRANS/OPTIFOIL Adhesive. Available in 19" x 25" sheets and 25" x 38" sheets.

HIGH-GLOSS TRANSFER BASE

These sheets look and feel different than the Semi-Gloss, but they are used in the same way. The crystal clear finish produces a smoother, super glossy transfer in single or multiple colors. These sheets are also specially formulated to be neutral to the chemistry used in the OPTITRANS System. An unlimited number of ink coatings, developments, and sealer applications can be made without reducing the viability of this substrate. Finished transfers require the use of OPTITRANS/OPTIFOIL Adhesive or can be produced with an "image only"adhesive method.

TRANSFER LACQUER

This lacquer is required when using the OPTITRANS System for producing single or multi-color transfers on the Semi-Gloss or High-Gloss Transfer Base. It provides a smooth, reliable transfer of even the most detailed images.

OPTITRANS/OPTIFOIL ADHESIVE

Exclusively used with OPTITRANS Semi-Gloss and High-Gloss transfer bases, and OPTIFOIL Transfer Base. A unique blend of ingredients provide a non-residue medium tack adhesive.

OPTISLICK TRANSFER BASE

Now the most popular transfer base for single color transfers is capable of unlimited color images in register. OPTISLICK is a stable, release coated transfer base that is ideal for pin register. Multi-color options require the use of Hi-Rez Sealer and HR Solvent to seal/protect images and to maintain consistent release performance.

PARCHMENT BACKING SHEETS

Parchment Backing sheets are designed to protect adhesive coated transfers to prevent pre-release and dust contamination. Images should be re-burnished with the backing sheet to ensure permanence.

GLOSS BACKING SHEETS

Foil transfers and high gloss transfers require a smooth backing sheet for protection and especially for burnishing to set transfers in place. The polished, treated side of the backing sheet will retain the gloss and not mar or dull the surface of the transfer. Available in 19" x 25" sheets.
